Gin and lime
There are certainly a large number of variations on this theme! Many bartenders do nothing more than add a little lemon juice to the gin and top up the glass of carbonated water. How boring! Try this very English version.
-
Three parts of gin;
-
A piece of freshly squeezed lime juice;
-
A piece of freshly squeezed orange juice;
-
One teaspoon of Cordial (liqueur) of Roses lime juice per glass;
-
A spiral of lemon or lime peel;
-
Ice cubes;
-
Place four ice cubes in a shaker and add the gin, lime juice, orange juice and lime juice cordial, orange juice and lime juice cordial.
-
Shake well and pour into a chilled cocktail glass.
-
Squeeze the lemon or lime peel over the bowl to taste the liquid, then serve it decorated with the spiral of lemon or lime peel.
